Can I use MCSniper to change my Minecraft name to any name I want?
No. When someone changes their Minecraft name, their old name becomes available again only after exactly 37 days have passed. The purpose of MCSniper is simply to change your name to one of these old names at the exact moment it becomes available. This ensures that you get the name that you want before anyone else is able to get it first. You can use the website namemc.com to find out when old names are going to become available.
Why should I use this service? Can’t I just change my Minecraft name myself?
The purpose of this service is to change your Minecraft name to the name that you want faster than anyone else. Using this service significantly increases your chances of getting the name that you want. Also, if the name that you want becomes available in the middle of the night, while you are at work or at school, etc, this service will be there to grab the name that you want while you are AFK.
Can more than one person snipe the same name with this service?
No. Snipes for particular names are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our system will not allow you to reserve a snipe for a name someone else has already reserved.
Why did my snipe fail?
We strive to be the best Minecraft sniping bot on the market. While our system is always improving, it is not perfect and sometimes another bot will snipe a name before us. On occasion a snipe may also fail because of an error with Mojang’s servers. Finally, if you change either your Mojang account email address or password before the time of the snipe, the snipe will not be possible and will fail. If your snipe fails for any reason whatsoever, you will receive a full refund instantly.
How do I know this service is not a scam to steal my Mojang account?
We completely understand why anyone would be reluctant to share any of their passwords with anyone. As a general rule, it is a bad idea to share your passwords with third parties and we recommend that you are always cautious when doing so. With that said, it would be pointless to steal a Mojang account because the actual owner can always contact Mojang with their original proof of purchase information (PayPal transaction ID, credit card number, etc) and recover their stolen account. The only reason we require your Mojang account email address and password is so our system is able to log in to your account at the appropriate time and change your Minecraft name. At no point does a human ever see your password when you use this service, and your password is deleted from our system the moment it is no longer required.
Alright, but why do you need me to disable my Mojang account security questions?
Just like your password, our system would need to know the answers to your security questions in order to log in to your account and change your Minecraft name. However, most people do not know what their security questions are, and Mojang does not offer a way to look them up without resetting them. During the process of resetting your security questions, it is possible to simply disable them completely. This is ultimately the simplest solution both for you and for us. We recommend that you enable your security questions again as soon as we have sniped a new name for you.
*This is only required because it is necessary to allow our system to change your Minecraft name. After our system has sniped a new name for you, we recommend you re-enable your security questions. For more information, see the Frequently Asked Questions section.
